What if this year we finally decided to get serious about spiritual growth? What if we read our Bible every day and applied what we learned? What if we prayed before every activity and decision? What if we put God’s will above our own? What if we sought to please Him alone?
…what if?
What if we prayed fervently for each of our family members? What if we spent more time praying and less time worrying? What if we cared more about their spiritual lives than their physical well-being? What if we learned to love them more and judge them less? What if we were the only ones who could make a difference?
…what if?
What if we prayed for God to use our churches mightily? What if we prayed for our pastors and encouraged them instead of complaining about them? What if we prayed over problems, vowing to keep unity? What if we sought reconciliation and forgiveness when someone hurts us? What if we cared more about God being glorified than having our own way?
…what if?
What if we were vulnerable and shared our struggles? What if we asked others to pray for us? What if we wanted to be held accountable? What if we really esteemed others as more important than ourselves? What if we cared about other’s needs and hurts as much as we do our own? What if we prayed for people the moment they shared a request?
…what if?
What if we desired worship more than entertainment? What if we humbled ourselves in order to exalt Him? What if we were willing to obey even if it meant sacrifice? What if we came to give instead of receive? What if we moved the moment the Holy Spirit said move?
…what if?
What if our churches worked together to reach our communities? What if we came together to clothe the poor and feed the hungry? What if we loved all regardless of their status or color? What if we regarded doing good to others as more important than making something of ourselves?
…what if?
What if we as the Christian church in America gave ourselves entirely to prayer? What if we prayed until we saw God work? What if we willingly confessed our sins of apathy? What if we turned from our wicked ways? What if we humbled ourselves and obeyed every command?
…what if?
What if we really believed God’s promises? What if we took him at His word? What if we prayed expecting Him to respond? What if we obeyed when He spoke? What if we loved Jesus with all our heart, soul, and mind? What if we loved our neighbors as ourselves?
…what if?
What might we see God do?
